1958-1961 Studied at Lime Grove, Hammersmith and Hornsey Art Schools

David was part of a number of artists who visited Cornwall during the renaissance of Cornish Art, and spent time with artists such as Terry Frost, Roger Hilton, Peter Lanyon, Patrick Heron, Bryan Winter, and Karl Wleske
1968 While exhibiting at the Lisson Gallery, London he met Bob Law who became a life-long friend
